Renowned British art critic, novelist, and essayist John Berger (1926–2017) analyzes the work of Russian sculptor Ernst Neizvestny (1925–2016) from an artistic and historical-political perspective, presenting him in this essay as an original phenomenon of anti-Soviet and, at the same time, anti-capitalist modernism.
