Childhood, adolescence, youth, and maturity of modern forty-year-olds, whose lifestyle and thinking are based on the culture and lack of culture of endless consumption. And in this world, life goes on. The heroes lose and seek love, raise children, become disillusioned and believe. They fill the voids of lovelessness.
The main character of the collection is a typical representative of her time. Her anamnesis includes a Moscow childhood, work in the media, a social life, and a promising career. In the present, she is a mother of two children in the midst of family and financial ruin. Amidst personal and global events, she maintains her sense of humor and lives according to Stanislavsky—in the given circumstances, not forgetting to record how the country's transition to a war footing affects ordinary people. Those who live here and now.
