Georgy Urushadze, publisher:
— 'Springfield' can under no circumstances be published in modern Russia, and not only because of the protagonist's 'incorrect' sexual orientation.
I found this novel through a link on Facebook. I sent it to my friends with the words 'this is stronger than 'Edichka.' Writers are offended by comparisons with others, so I will say this: this is the novel of a generation. A generation of thirty-year-olds, crushed by Russian reality, destroying everything living and unlike the mainstream. A must read.
During the entire first year of the war, I thought about creating a free publishing house. After reading 'Springfield,' I realized that such novels and such authors need such a publishing house. If not Freedom Letters, then who? Contract number 1 was signed with Sergei. We are starting with this book.
