A practical guide from John Gottman, a world-renowned psychologist with 50 years of experience, that will help parents teach their children to regulate emotions. In a pocketbook format.

Emotional intelligence, or the ability to control your emotions and recognize those of others, is of great importance for a child's development. Children with high emotional intelligence are self-confident, have good health, achieve better academic results, and interact successfully with others. As a result, they grow up happier and more successful people.

Under the cover: five steps of emotional education. They will help:

  • better understand the child's mood and motives for his behavior

  • discuss emotions in a language he understands

  • teach him to cope with negative emotions, difficult situations and problems

  • help him in understanding the world of emotions

And also lay the foundation for maintaining close relationships with the child at all stages of his development.
