Politics: What Adults Don't Tell You (Politika)

It's hard to imagine a modern child who hasn't at least once asked: Who is the president? What are taxes? Why does the country always have to elect someone? And what is all this politics for?

Parents sometimes find it difficult to answer such questions briefly and succinctly. Politics is one of those topics that parents don't talk about with their children because—as the author rightly notes—they often don't understand it themselves.

The book's author, Bogus Janiszewski, a renowned Polish popularizer of science, knows how to explain such important and complex topics to children in simple terms. His duet with illustrator Max Skorwider is a superb example of a modern approach to teaching, devoid of dry formulas, but full of real-life examples and excellent visual material.

The book is perfect for family reading, as it can spark conversations on serious topics: different political systems, manipulation, and the functions of the state. Civic consciousness is formed in childhood, so it is important to remember that children will one day grow up and have the opportunity to influence the future of our country.

  • An excellent opportunity to talk to your child about politics and not lose face.
  • Ironic and visually appealing presentation of the material.
  • Complex concepts are illustrated with examples from real life. - Perhaps the only children's book about politics.
  • For children aged 10 and up, their parents and grandparents.
