'Pretending is Lying' is an autobiographical cartoon by Belgian artist Dominique Goblet. In it, the author attempts to rethink her relationships with the people most important to her, exploring the forms lies can take and how they affect relationships. Each period of her life has its own graphic style and unique font solution, which reflect the emotional state of the characters with exquisite—and sometimes merciless—precision.
In 2007, Dominique Goblet's book won the main prize at the Angoulême International Comics Festival.
