This book introduces the reader to one of the most beautiful passages of short prose by Herbert Wells (1866-1946), a famous English science fiction writer. The characters in his story are people whose lives are filled with something unexpected: either a scientific discovery, or a charmer who conquers all the dishes, or just a hungry ostrich, who suddenly forged a diamond. It’s recommended to go to the storehouse of “magic goods” for the little son’s wishes. At first glance, I think it’s just selling props for magicians. Even if the owner demonstrates his edge, it is more likely to demonstrate his enmity, which is where true enchantment reigns... Recommended for reading in the 7th grade.
