This allegorical book, simultaneously political and poetic, was written over 70 years ago by the renowned Italian writer Dino Buzzati. In his homeland, he is rightfully considered one of the outstanding national authors of the 20th century. His books are included in Borges's library, and Lemony Snicket admits that 'The Incredible Invasion of the Bears in Sicily' is one of his favorite childhood books. The book is also prized for its unique illustrations, created by Dino Buzzati himself, who was also an original artist. This book by Buzzati was first published in Russian by Samokat back in 2005.
