Washington Irving is a master of weaving a subtle thread of mysticism and reality. What is reality here, and what is a dream?
The Headless Horseman, the mysterious disappearance of teacher Ichabod Crane, the ghosts of Sleepy Hollow, the 'heart-rending cries' and 'mournful laments' from the forest inhabited by 'Nightmare and all his vile offspring' - this and more is frightening in 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow'!
Of course, Hollywood could not resist the enchanting charm of horror. Iconic director Tim Burton adapted 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow' with Johnny Depp in the leading role.
The collection also includes other gripping stories by the classic American writer
