The twelve chapters of 'Ours' were created by Dovlatov in the early 1980s as standalone stories. The characters are real people, hence one of the possible titles for the future book – 'Family Album,' a book in which the 'quiet music of common sense' (I. Brodsky) sounds, helping us maintain dignity in the most incredible life situations.
