Lars Kepler, the undisputed master of the Scandinavian thriller, returns with 'The Mirror Man,' the eighth mystery featuring investigator Jona Linna. Schoolgirl Jenny Lind is kidnapped in broad daylight by a man driving an old truck with Polish license plates. Along with other victims, she ends up on a former mink farm lost in the forest. Wolf traps are set on the farm, and the 'grandmother' who is watching the girls unhesitatingly takes out a saw to prevent them from escaping... Five years later, the body of the kidnapped schoolgirl is found hanging in a playground in central Stockholm. Investigator Jona Linna immediately recognizes the victim: her disappearance has long made headlines. As police struggle to find a single lead among the scant evidence, Jona discovers eerie similarities between Jenny's murder and a death ruled a suicide several years earlier. Using surveillance cameras, he even manages to locate a potential witness... But he proves unable to assist the investigation—he suffers from a severe mental disorder and memory lapses. So, Jonah decides to turn to his old friend, hypnotist Erik Maria Bark.
