Kazuo Ishiguro is a British writer of Japanese literature, screenwriter, Nobel and Booker Prize laureate. His book “Don’t Let Me Go” is a poignant story that rightfully belongs to the flow of the finest English works these days. This is a novel with elements of science fiction and dystopia, a story about the search for evidence, love, friendship, memory, hope and hopelessness. Katie, the main character of the book, is trying to understand and accept her childhood and youth at the privileged boarding school, Gailsham, and her attitude, her differentness from people and image for Katie herself and those closest to her. Friends are considered to be donors. This is a long road with clues, clues, revelations that will allow the heroes to create a new picture of the world.
