Alexey Polyarinov writes prose (his novel 'Center of Gravity' was published in 2018), translates texts by David Foster Wallace, and writes essays about his favorite writers, which are collected in this book. Stephen King, Philip K. Dick, Don DeLillo, and his other characters appear as real people, not reader icons, united by their ability to juggle genres and remove the barriers between 'high' and 'low' literature.
