The Eye of the Wolf (Glaz Volka)

Incredible events are unfolding at the Paris Zoo: a one-eyed Arctic wolf and a small African boy silently share stories, each more astonishing than the last. In their two pupils—the boy's and the wolf's—the snow-covered tundra and the yellow, gray, and green of Africa flash by, one after another. Somewhere in the past, gunshots ring out, screams echo, the roar of propellers and the howling of jackals echo, golden sparkles flash, and rain envelops the jungle. The wolf and the boy gaze intently at each other. And the more they get to know each other, the more they understand that whether you are a wolf or a boy, a camel or a cheetah—if you have the patience and wisdom to hear the story of another's heart and respond to it, you are no longer alone. Stranded on opposite sides of the zoo's bars, the Wolf and a boy named Africa will break the cage of mistrust and suspicion—a cage that anyone can find themselves in and from which no one can escape alone.
