The new series from VoiceBook Publishing House features beloved fairy tales illustrated in the style of famous artists. The story of Little Red Riding Hood in the new book is a fairy tale illustrated through the prism of pop art and its famous ideologists – Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.
Pop art emerged in England in the 20th century as entertainment and a rejection of abstract expressionism. The main idea of the movement was the demonstration of the material world and images of consumer products. Artists depicted popular singers, cookie packaging, soda cans, and advertising signs in their paintings. The world-famous works of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein inspired the illustrator who created his illustrations for the fairy tale 'Little Red Riding Hood.'
The publishing house's new book series can be read or viewed, allowing you to compare the illustrations with images of the original works by great masters, look for recurring details, discuss differences in composition and plot, color palette, and characteristics of the era. To do this, simply pick up the book and immerse yourself in its fairytale-like artistic world. The book format is 15x15 cm. Thick cardboard pages, glossy finish.
