I was left alone in the whole wide world... Until one day I met Paul.

The protagonist of this story is a homeless dog who was taken in by an elderly gentleman named Paul. When his owner pets him, throws him a stick and teaches him commands, when they lie on the grass and watch the clouds float by and celebrate the New Year, life seems wonderful and serene. But what will happen to the dog when one day Paul is gone?
This book is about the sincere love between a person and an animal, about touching and selfless care, about devotion and friendship, about the simple everyday joys that Paul and his pet give each other, but also about how the dog experiences the loss of his owner.
