Michael Storz is an extreme sports fanatic, an 'adrenaline junkie.' Mountaineering and surfing, skiing and diving, hang gliding and parachuting, driving at breakneck speeds and even bar fights - this is the air of freedom he breathes, tormented since childhood by the care of an overbearing mother, and subsequently beginning to languish from the monotonous boredom of the existence of a 'successful man.'
The fear for his life of his truly loving wife only irritates Michael, her attempts to somehow improve family life lead to new conflicts, and conflicts - to mutual alienation.
But one day, Michael has the opportunity to give it all up. To leave. And finally, to ask himself a simple question: what does he really want? What does he see as the meaning of his continued existence?
