“Feet of Clay” is the third novel in the “Varta” series of Terry Pratchett’s “Discosvet” series.

Miska Varta begins a new investigation! The rulers of Vetinari are trying to open, the Ankh-Morpork seri of the cardinals will once again mar the new royal power and “mould” themselves as a king - although this is not the idea for the place. Over the course of an hour in Ankh-Morpork, one after another, secret hammerings appear, in which not a single clog is traced to white clay. Among the locals there is growing dissatisfaction with golems - soulless figures made of baked clay, which signify the importance of the robot. What is the effective stench - there is no sense in anyone’s hands, and what is the power of the evil one or the good one - clever? Thus, we become evidence of the birth of the laborious movement of golems: from a small spark of knowledge to a trivial and even faded voluntary struggle.
