“The Remaining Continent” is the sixth novel in the “Rincewind” series of the “Discosvet” series by Terry Pratchett.
Far away on the edge of Discosvet lies a chimeric continent: its coordinates are unknown, it’s impossible to get out there, it’s dry there It’s hotter, and it’s completely populated by deadly flora and fauna, whatever you want. The ideal place for our long-time acquaintance, Rincewind, is to turn everyone away again (at any cost) and return water to the continent. This means that he gets caught up in the chase and the shooter, gets into trouble with the locals, gets drunk in a relationship, and goes to the opera.
At this time, everything is more important than the faith of the Invisible Academy turns to Rincewind's search. In their mandras, the enchanters continue the hour and space, stand at the dawn of the created world and hear the gods - and the stench there, as forever, is simply unbearable. I’ll stop reading: a bit of local magic, little bits of fruit and a little bit of randomness work wonders.
