Shadow of the Fox (Lisya Ten)

Once every thousand years, the Great Dragon appears to a mortal to grant their deepest wish. Once every thousand years, the world awaits change—for good or for ill, determined by whoever holds the Scroll of a Thousand Prayers. Raised by monks at the remote Temple of Quiet Winds, Yumeko spent her entire life learning to hide her yokai nature. Half kitsune, half human, she uses her talent for creating illusions only for petty pranks. But when the temple is attacked by hordes of demons, Yumeko is forced to embark on a dangerous journey to protect a fragment of an ancient scroll. But she's not the only one seeking this precious relic. Kage Tatsumi, the enigmatic samurai of the Shadow Clan, is also hunting for the scroll. And he will do anything to find it.
