The Cannes and Venice film festivals, mockumentaries, and post-truth: the topics of issue 1/2 of 'Art of Cinema,' which will be the first and last in print this year.

This issue—unlike previous years—publishes essays by editorial staff members not about the 'best films' of the outgoing season, but about those that help us avoid going crazy, avoiding depression, and offer the opportunity, sometimes illusory, to move on. There are also articles on selected films from the Cannes and Venice film festivals. The main theme of the issue is ideology, the aesthetics of mockumentaries, and all manner of fake images, as well as the phenomenon of post-truth.
