It all began on Christmas Eve 1956... A little-known writer named Michael Bond came across an unwanted teddy bear in a large London store. Bond bought the bear and named it Paddington, after the nearby train station. Several stories followed about the adventures of the funny bear, who arrived from the depths of Peru straight to Paddington Station. Since then, the little bear in his blue coat and battered red hat has become famous throughout the world. There's a statue of him in London, he's called a literary symbol of England, and books about his adventures sell millions of copies. Paddington is inquisitive and adventurous, never one to sit idle and never downhearted. He loves marmalade and is always ready to help. And, of course, he's incredibly talented! He can paint a picture, redecorate a room, catch a burglar, and cook up a mind-blowing dinner. You'll never get bored with Paddington! And recently, Paddington has even become a movie star! The first film about the restless bear was released in 2014, and the second film will premiere in Russia in January 2018. And Paddington is set to shine on screen alongside Hugh Grant and Brendan Gleeson!
