'Branch' is Sergei Dovlatov's final, unfinished novel about the life of Russian émigrés in New York and an international writers' conference in Los Angeles. It's an ironic, sad, and profoundly accurate prose about people caught between two worlds, where nostalgia intertwines with a sober view of reality.
