Taguchi Hiro is a hikikomori. For the past two years, he has lived in seclusion, confined to his room in his parents' home. In an attempt to return to the real world, the young man goes to the park, where he sits on a bench all day, observing life around him. Ohara Tetsu has lost his job, but he can't admit it to his husband.
Every day, he leaves the house in a suit and tie, but instead of going to the office, he goes to the park and sits on a bench until evening. Hiro and Tetsu discover an inexplicable kinship. They learn to listen and empathize: despair and sadness, hopes and dreams of one seem close and understandable to the other. This invisible connection helps each of them, little by little, find the strength to start life anew.
