Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844 (Ekonomichesko-Filosofskie Rukopisi)

'The Economic and Philosophical Manuscripts of 1844' is one of Karl Marx's earliest and, at the same time, one of the most widely cited works. In it, he first attempted to summarize and systematize the results of his economic research from a philosophical perspective. Some believe that Marx left no philosophical system and that his main legacy is the monumental 'Capital.' However, in reality, the 25-year-old Marx formulated all of his fundamental philosophical postulates in this short, yet very comprehensive work, encompassing the main problems and contradictions of social and economic inequality. Everything Marx said in the 'Economic and Philosophical Manuscripts of 1844'—think about it! 178 years ago!—remains relevant to this day, and today, as never before, a philosophical understanding of the driving forces of history, the essence and historical character of private property, and alienated labor comes to the fore.
