Two short books by Lewis Carroll, 'Alice in Wonderland' and 'Through the Looking-Glass,' have long been classics of English and world literature.
In the 20th century, Carroll's characters were spoken in almost every language of the world, brought to life in plays, musicals, and cartoons, right up to Tim Burton's famous film adaptation. Mountains of books have been written about them, in which 'Alice' is interpreted and explained in every possible way, but the magic of these texts continues to live and enchant new generations of readers, still mysterious and inexplicable.
This edition includes two works by Carroll - 'Alice in Wonderland' and 'Through the Looking-Glass' - in the classic translation by Nina Demurova.
