Fabian works as a journalist for a newspaper in a small Swiss town. The leisurely pace of life suits him perfectly, and even after winning a trip to Zanzibar, Fabian rarely leaves his hotel room, only occasionally going to the bar. There, he meets his compatriot Max, who, for some reason, is dressed in traditional Maasai garb. They don't even imagine that very soon, having experienced some upheavals, they will become best friends and Fabian, at Max's request, will go on a journey from Switzerland to Croatia and Zanzibar to help his friend remember the details of his past and get to know himself again.
A kind and smart, serious and funny travel novel about friendship, mercy and bicycles - pure joy.
