George Orwell (his name is Eric Arthur Blair) is an English novelist, scholar, journalist and critic. His creativity is characterized by poignant social criticism, opposition to totalitarianism and a strong support for the democratic ailments of humanity. The author is the popularizer of the term “cold war” in political discourse. The story “Kolgosp of Creatures” - one of the world’s most famous allegorical works - was first published on September 17, 1945. Following the words of Orwell, the book describes the period of the 1917 revolution in the Russian Empire and the emergence of the era of the Stalinist dictatorship in the Radyansky Union. Orwell was a merciless critic of Joseph Stalin and the enemy of Stalinism even during the great war in Spain. Orwell noted that the Radyansky Union is suffering from a cruel dictatorship, based on the cult of specialness and reinforced by the panorama of terror. The easily identifiable characters and underlines of the book give the opportunity to look at the crooked and terrible parts of the history of our state from a new point of view, and to remove the splits from the ideas of communism for many generations to come.
