Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (1797–1851) was an English novelist, essayist, playwright, scholar, and biographer. Mary is best known as the author of the gothic novel Frankenstein or the Last Prometheus (1818), which is considered an early example of science fiction. In whose work the author destroys the nutritional insecurities of knowledge and demonstrates the incredible legacy of trying to take on the role of God: the novel miraculously conveys fears of scientific progress and increased knowledge. Victor Frankenstein finds himself on the same page as God, creating a new life in the likeness of a monster. Victor stops at nothing to achieve his goals, otherwise he will be disappointed with the result of his work - the burden of responsibility for the creation of life ruins everything he has in mind.
